About Us

EEM offers an exciting opportunity for social housing providers across the East Midlands region. The current membership comprises ALMOs, RSLs (housing associations) and local authorities, the future of EEM has been planned allowing for member organisations differing priorities, as well as the common goals they share, these are to provide efficiently delivered, high quality services to the communities and tenants they serve.

Each EEM member is committed to collaborative working – with each other, with the supply chain, and with other procurement consortia. This will achieve a number of "non-cashable" benefits, such as the inclusion of local labour, community representation in the supply chain, and the creation of apprenticeships

EEM will also deliver "cashable" benefits to its members in the form of savings on current planned expenditure, access to existing procurement frameworks and increased buying power by forming alliances with other consortia.

The consortium is keen to expand its buying power and to that end has formed informal partnerships with CHIC and Efficiency North - 2 newly established consortia working on the Midlands and Northern boundaries of our area.

By working with CHIC and Efficiency North benefits for EEM members can be secured more quickly and at a lesser investment for us all.

EEM is committed to actively encouraging membership growth thereby increasing our buying power and the delivery of related savings– JOIN US NOW and START SAVING NOW

EEM's objectives are to...

  1. Deliver real cost savings benefits to all EEM members across their current and future repairs and maintenance programmes, allowing a greater volume of work to be delivered at no extra cost.
  2. Support the needs of EEM members through collaborative working arrangements across the whole of their repairs and maintenance activities.
  3. Create a platform that will allow existing and new EEM members to better understand and gain access to the initiatives and best practice developed by other members.
  4. Grow the EEM membership such that it becomes the automatic choice for procurement of maintenance and repairs services for all social housing landlords across the East Midlands, further benefiting existing and new members.
  5. Establish relationships with the supply chain that will demonstrably deliver enhanced levels of "non-cashable" benefits
  6. Make it easier for member organisations to achieve their environmental objectives through better knowledge, shared learning, access to funding and greater purchasing power.
  7. Share best practice and support the regional Public Sector Compacts that include the Emergency Services and the Third Sector thereby encouraging membership.
